Microsoft Store is the official Marketplace for Download and installs Apps on Windows 10 System. And with Regular updates, Microsoft Adds new apps, games, Extensions and Security Improvements, etc. But Some Users Report After installing Window updates or after Upgrade To Windows 10 May 2021 update Version 21H1 Microsoft Store Not Working, Store doesn’t open or Crashes at startup. Even after restarting the PC, the store doesn’t seem to open. Windows Store Problems is pretty awful as users don’t want the store to shut down as it restricts them from downloading the games and apps available exclusively on the store.

How To fix Windows Store Problems

Windows Store Problems mostly cause if the Store app cache may get Damaged, System Files Get corrupted while windows upgrade process or may there is some bug with the latest updates, etc. If you Are also face difficulty while open the Windows Store app,  Windows Store doesn’t open or has Crashed at startup. Start With Basic Solutions Make Sure windows Have installed the latest updates. You can manually check and install latest updates from Settings -> update & Security -> Windows Update -> Check for updates.

Also, Make Sure UAC (User Account Control) is enabled. You can check This from Control panel ->  User Accounts -> Change User Account Control settings -> Then Slide the slider to the Recommended position -> Click OK.

Adjusting Date and Time

Firstly, check if the date and time on your Windows PC are correct. Checking in is important as many encrypted connections rely on that data, including Windows Store. After adjusting the date and time on your PC, check if Windows Store is opening now. If not, then you must follow the next step.

Disable Proxy Server

If you have a proxy Server ( Or VPN connection ) Enabled Then We Recommend To Disable, Because your PC’s IP address doesn’t correspond to the details on your Windows account. So first if you Have VPN Connection Enabled Turn it Off And also Turn Off the Proxy connection From Settings -> Network & Internet -> proxy And then make sure the ‘Use a proxy server’ slider is switched off.

Reset the Windows Store Cache

The simplest fix is to reset the Windows Store cache which may have become cluttered and buggy over time. To do this, press Win + R, then in the Run box type wsreset and hit Enter. A command prompt window should show up, which indicates that Windows is resetting the Store cache. When the window closes, the job is done, so you can try opening the Store again to see if it works properly.

If the above Basic troubleshooting steps are unable to fix Windows Store Problems Then run The Official Windows Store App Troubleshooter and let windows fix the problem itself. First Down Download the Troubleshooting tool Windows 10 download or the Windows 8.1 download.

After Download Run The Application, On the Diagnostics Troubleshooting Wizard click on Advanced and make sure Apply Repairs Automatically option is checked And Fallow On-Screen Instructions. The troubleshooter scans your system and detects any problems that might be preventing any Windows Store apps from working correctly. Then, if possible, it automatically fixes these without you needing to do anything. After completing the Troubleshooting Restart windows And check Store App now working properly.

Reset Microsoft Store

With Win 10 latest Update, Microsoft added the option to Reset the Windows Apps, Which Clear their Cache Data And Essentially Making them New And Fresh. WSReset Command Also clear and Reset the Store Cache but Reset is The Advanced options like this will clear all your preference, login details, settings so on and Set Windows Store To its Default Setup.

To Reset Windows Store It’s default Setup right-click the Start button -> Apps and Features, then scroll down to “Store’ in your list of Apps & features. Click it, then click ‘Advanced options,’ and in the new window you ‘will Get the  Reset Option. You’ll receive a warning that you’ll lose data on this app. Click ‘Reset’ again, and you’re done, Restart windows And Check the Windows store working properly.

Re-register the Windows Store App

This is the most Applicable solution that works for most Windows users to fix almost every Windows Store problem. If you are still having a problem with the Windows store Then Try to Re-register the windows store app by following the steps below.

To do this first you need to open Powershell As an administrator, you can do this by right click on the Start menu and select Power Shell ( Admin ). Here on the Powershell window input the following command and then press Enter to execute the command.

Tweak Registry for Connection Errors

If you’re getting a connection error while open the windows store, downloading an app, or updating an app, Then Follow the below steps To Tweak Windows Registry and fix Connection Errors. As we are going to modify some Registry Entries To fix this Connection Error Backup Windows registry before making any modification.

Then press Windows key + R, type Regedit and hit the enter key to open Windows Registry Editor. Now Navigate to the following path:

Then Under permission for profiles click Apply then click OK. Now restart your system to make the changes effective. Then on the Next login Open Windows Store check, there are no more problems on the windows store.
