Solved: Microsoft store not opening on Windows 10

Why is the Microsoft store not opening?

Check Date And Time Settings

Clear Microsoft Store Cache

• Press Windows key + I to open the Settings app,
• click Apps then apps & feature,
• Now Scroll the list and click Microsoft Store.
• Then click Advanced options and Reset.
• It will show a warning that the app’s data will be deleted, so click Reset again.

Reset Windows Update Components

Here is another effective solution most of the users suggested Reset Windows Update Components help them to fix Microsoft Store app problems.

• First press Windows + R, Type Services.msc, and hit the enter key.
• Now On Window Services Scroll down and look for Background Intelligent Transfer Service
• Right-click on it and select Stop.
• Do the same with Windows Update Service and sysmain service.

Now Navigate to the following C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore.

Here on Datastore folder Press Ctrl + A to select all and press the Delete key.

Again open C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download And delete all files and folders inside the Download folder.

Now restart Windows and install the latest Windows update,

Then after opening the Microsoft Store app and check if working normally.

Re-register Microsoft Store

Open PowerShell as an administrator, Now copy the following command given below and past it on the power shell, then hit the enter key to execute the command.

& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + ‘\AppxManifest.xml’ ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}

After that close PowerShell and Simply Restart the Windows computer,  then check hopefully your problem will have been resolved.

Tweak registry to fix Connection Errors

If you’re getting a connection error while launching the store, downloading an app, or updating an app, then you can tweak some Registry files to get rid of this.

Please ensure you follow these instructions closely because incorrect edits in the registry can cause further problems. We strongly recommend Create a system restore point before making any changes.

• Press the keyboard shortcut Windows Key + R type regedit and click OK.
• The Registry Editor will open. Now Using the folders on the left, navigate into the following folder path:
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles

• Right-click on Profiles, select Permissions, then click Advanced.
• Tick Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object and click OK.
• Now restart your system and Check your problem will be resolved.
