Office 2019 first look

Microsoft officially released Office 2019 for Windows and Mac users that offer improvements to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and outlook. And the Windows version also includes Publisher 2019, Access 2019, Project 2019, and Visio 2019. It also boasts a range of enhanced IT options that are designed to make life easier for newcomers to the field.

Jared Spataro, General Manager for Office, wrote in an official blog post.

Updates include new and improved inking features across the apps, like the roaming pencil case, pressure sensitivity, and tilt effects; more powerful data analysis in Excel, like new formulas, new charts, and Power BI integration; and sophisticated presentation features in PowerPoint, like Morph and Zoom.

Microsoft Office 2019 features

In PowerPoint 2019, you can create cinematic presentations with new features like Morph and Zoom. And improved inking features across the apps in Windows—like the roaming pencil case, pressure sensitivity, and tilt effects—allow you to naturally create documents.

Excel 2019 adds powerful new data analysis features, including new formulas and charts and enhancements to PowerPivot.

Word 2019 and Outlook 2019 help you focus on Learning Tools, like reading Aloud and Text Spacing. As Microsoft state, Windows 7/8.1 are no longer supported Office 2019 will only run on Windows 10 all editions.

  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
